Below is a PDF of the second essay I wrote for my freshman writing course. The prompt asked something along the lines of, "to what extent does your chosen technology allow for meaningful intimacy?" I decided to write on Reddit, as it is home to some of the nicest and most welcoming communities on the internet that I am aware of (this is of course a generalization aimed at the most popular subreddits; Reddit is so large that it is necessarily home to a lot of toxicity as well).
